About me

A white woman with straight, brown hair leans on a chair, smiling at the camera, wearing a black dress and holding a purple walking cane.

I love stories. Possibly a little bit too much (my parents had to ban books at the dinner table when I was little). Stories shape who we are as human beings - we use storytelling to help us remember and communicate information and ideas, to learn about the unfamiliar, to change people’s minds, to teach our children, and to understand the world and our place in it.

I love being part of that process, in just about any capacity. I’m a classically trained opera singer and actor (and a ‘passable mover’, according to my childhood ballet teacher) with a background in choirs and a cappella ensembles. I write and perform parody songs for fun, and custom songs for special occasions. I’m also a writer and editor, with a Bachelor of English with Honours and a Master of Publishing and Communications, and I spent a few years working in book publishing. No matter what I’m doing, or which hat I’m wearing, my goal is to tell a great story, and, ideally, move someone who encounters it.

If you invite me to be part of telling your story, I will get invested in it - I genuinely cannot help it.
